A special evening in the wonderful setting and excellent acoustics of the Canopy Theatre, Hungate Church, Beccles
Featured artists Peter and Jane are a husband and wife duo from Suffolk, who love making music. Their original songs and tunes are influenced by the broad spectrum that is the folk genre and their performances always include a joyful selection of traditional material, arranged to suit the duo’s voices and instruments. These instruments include flute, whistles, guitar, banjo and small pipes
Silver Moon are Suffolk based husband and wife duo Martin & Sarah Lovett. Martin has been a member of various bands (including 90's folk/rock band Instant Chaos!) and various duos as well as performing solo. He has supported double FATEA Award-winner Hannah Scott several times at the Canopy Theatre
Jolly Good Company are a new folk collective of friends who play various instruments and love to sing. In June 2017, dream on moved to their new home at Compton House in Eye. The house is a former butcher’s shop, with some of the original decorative tiling still intact, and enough space to provide permanent homes for dream on’s various workshops, coaching sessions, and makeovers.
In May 2019, we were honoured to host a talk by one of our avid supporters, Joy Evitt, who talked about some extraordinary women in history.
